Analyze State of Samtrans: Use data to identify what riders and potential riders want, gaps and opportunities in SamTrans system, and countywide mobility trends. Fall 2019
Public Outreach: Conduct outreach and market research to identify what riders and potential riders want out of SamTrans bus service. Fall 2019
Design Service Guidelines: Develop a shared vision and set of guidelines for how SamTrans will design bus service and measure success. Winter 2019
PHASE II SamTrans Board adopts service policy framework Spring 2020
Design Service Alternatives: Develop up to three alternative route changes for each route in the system. Spring 2020
Public outreach: Gather public input on up to three alternatives for each route and preferred bus system. Summer 2020
Design Final Alternative: Develop a preferred bus system based on public input. Summer 2020
PHASE III Public Outreach: Conduct outreach on a single proposed bus system Fall 2020
Plan for Implementation: Develop a plan for implementation of new bus system. Fall 2020
